                                     Musical evening with

       "The Spectrum Palm Court Trio"

A wonderful evening! This is the comment mostly heard after the performance by the Palm Court Trio at the Anglo-Italian Society's festa. Close to 50 society's members attended the concert in the college's theatre. We were treated to an imaginative programme of music from films and television shows past and present. Franck Leprince, the Trio's director and violin player, chose and arranged music with plenty of Italian connections, from the film scores by well known composers such as Nino Rota, Ennio Morriconi, Riz Ortolani to the beautiful Rondo Veneziano and Mascagni's great Intermezzo taken from Cavalleria Rusticana.  Music from Henry Mancini, Irvin Berlin and many others completed the programme , each piece eloquently introduced by Franck, with the additional inevitable comments from Patricia Bonelli.
It was a privilege to have such accomplished, professional musicians play for us, and we thank Patricia for being the promoter and organizer, Franck for putting together the programme and doing the arrangements, and Joseph for being such a wonderful and entertaining cello player.
